The FortiAP 443K is Fortinet's flagship Wi-Fi 7 indoor access point with external antennas - the same 4x4 quad-radio engine as the 441K, but with RP-SMA connectors so you can fit directional, high-gain or specialised antennas. That makes it the right choice for awkward, high-ceiling or very high-density spaces - warehouses, arenas, atriums and lecture halls - where internal antennas can't shape coverage the way you need. Four radios serve clients on 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz simultaneously while a dedicated fourth radio scans for threats and rogue APs, so security never costs you airtime. With 4x4 MU-MIMO, 320 MHz channels on 6 GHz and dual multigigabit uplinks to 10 GbE, it removes the wired bottleneck that limits older access points. An integrated BLE / Zigbee radio supports beacons and locationing, and the AP is managed by any FortiGate or by FortiEdge Cloud - no separate controller and no per-AP management license. For internal antennas choose the 441K; for 2x2 high density choose the 241K.

Power and mount the FortiAP 443K.
The FortiAP 443K is a current-generation Wi-Fi 7 access point, actively sold and fully supported. It is one of Fortinet’s flagship indoor APs and is not on an end-of-order or end-of-support schedule.
Both are 4×4 quad-radio Wi-Fi 7 APs with identical performance. The 441K uses internal antennas for clean ceiling mounting; the 443K adds external RP-SMA connectors so you can fit directional or high-gain antennas for difficult or very high-density coverage.
It is a Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) AP with four radios and 4×4 MU-MIMO, reaching about 1.15 Gbps on 2.4 GHz, 8.65 Gbps on 5 GHz and 11.53 Gbps on 6 GHz (roughly 21.3 Gbps aggregate), and supports up to 512 clients per serving radio.
It runs at full capability on 802.3bt PoE, or on 2x 802.3at. It has two multigigabit RJ45 ports supporting 100M / 1G / 2.5G / 5G / 10G, so a single 10 GbE uplink keeps pace with Wi-Fi 7 throughput.
