FortiSwitch switches are managed through FortiLink from any FortiGate firewall, so wired switching, wireless and security all live in one console. They can also run standalone. There is no separate controller to buy.
No per-switch management license is required when a switch is managed by a FortiGate over FortiLink. FortiCare support contracts cover hardware coverage and firmware, and we deliver them electronically, worldwide.
Non-PoE models switch data only. POE models deliver Power over Ethernet to phones, cameras and access points. FPOE (full PoE) models provide PoE on every port with a larger power budget for high-density PoE deployments.
Use the port subgroups in each table: up to 16 ports for compact desktop and small closets, 24–32 ports for standard 1U deployments, and 48 ports for high-density wiring closets and aggregation.
