All 424E models share the same 24-port / 128 Gbps platform with four 10GE SFP+ uplinks. They differ by Power over Ethernet: the data-only 424E has no PoE output, the 424E-POE powers 24 ports at a 250 W budget, and the 424E-FPOE raises the PoE+ budget to 421 W.
The 424E is the 24-port, data-only member of the 400-series Campus access line. The 424E-Fiber swaps the copper access ports for 24x GE SFP fiber, and the 448E steps up to 48 ports and 176 Gbps. Same FortiSwitchOS and FortiLink management across the range.
