It delivers 24 PoE+ (802.3af/at) ports on a 421 W budget, four 10GE SFP+ fiber uplinks and 128 Gbps of switching capacity, in a 1RU rack-mount chassis with optional redundant AC power. Managed over FortiLink from any FortiGate, it folds wired access into the Security Fabric - one console for switching, Wi-Fi and security, with no separate controller. It also runs standalone. Powering fewer devices? The 424E-POE (250 W) covers lighter loads, and the data-only 424E drops PoE entirely.
