All 424E models share the same 24-port / 128 Gbps platform with four 10GE SFP+ uplinks. They differ by Power over Ethernet: the data-only 424E has no PoE output, the 424E-POE powers 24 ports at a 250 W budget, and the 424E-FPOE raises the PoE+ budget to 421 W.

All 24 access ports support PoE+ (802.3af/at) on a 421 W power budget, enough to power a closet full of Wi-Fi access points, IP phones and cameras. For lighter loads, the 424E-POE offers a 250 W budget; the data-only 424E has no PoE.
