The FortiSwitch 248E-FPOE is a 48-port Gigabit access switch with full Power over Ethernet, built for wiring closets and mid-to-large sites that need to power every port. It offers 48 GbE RJ45 PoE+ ports plus four 1G SFP fiber uplinks, with a 740 W PoE budget across all 48 ports, Layer 2/3 switching and 104 Gbps of switching capacity, in a 1RU rack-mount chassis. Because every port supplies 802.3af/at power, it can run a dense floor of access points, IP phones and cameras over a single cable each. An optional external FRPS-740 redundant power supply keeps the closet up if the internal PSU fails. Managed over FortiLink from any FortiGate, it folds wired access into the Security Fabric - one console for switching, Wi-Fi and security. It also runs standalone. Need PoE on only half the ports? The 248E-POE powers 24 ports from a 370 W budget.
