It powers access points, IP phones and IP cameras directly from the switch port, no power bricks at the desk. Managed over FortiLink from any FortiGate, it folds wired and PoE access into the Security Fabric - one console for switching, Wi-Fi and security, with no separate controller. It also runs standalone. Need more PoE? The 224D-FPOE powers all 24 ports (370 W); for no PoE at all, the data-only 224E covers desk connectivity.

The 224E-POE is the 24-port PoE+ member of the 200-series Secure Access line. Step up to the 48-port 248E-POE or full-PoE 248E-FPOE for larger closets, or move to the data-only 224E when PoE is not needed. Same FortiSwitchOS and FortiLink management across the range.
