The FortiSwitch 224D-FPOE has reached end of life. Fortinet no longer sells new units or adds features, but FortiGuard and FortiCare renewal subscriptions remain available for installed devices.

The 224D-FPOE is the full-PoE+ 24-port member of the legacy 200-series Secure Access line. The current full-PoE+ 24-port switch is the FortiSwitch 124F-FPOE with 10 GbE uplinks; step up to the 48-port 248E-FPOE for double the port count. Same FortiSwitchOS and FortiLink management across the range.

They differ by Power over Ethernet: the legacy 224D-FPOE powers all 24 ports at 370 W, the current 224E-POE powers 12 ports at 180 W, and the 224E is data only. Yes – we stock the FortiSwitch 224D-FPOE (FS-224D-FPOE) new and in stock, with FortiCare support and RMA services available. It is a legacy-generation switch that remains supported and renewable. For a current-generation equivalent, ask us about the FortiSwitch 124F-FPOE.
All 24 access ports support PoE+ (802.3af/802.3at) with a 370 W total power budget – enough to power access points, IP phones and cameras across the switch. An optional FRPS-740 external supply adds power redundancy.
