The FortiSwitch 224D-FPOE is a 24-port Gigabit Ethernet access switch that powers every one of its 24 ports with PoE+ (802.3af/at, 370 W total) and adds four GE SFP fiber uplinks. It delivers 56 Gbps of switching capacity and 83 Mpps forwarding with Layer 2/3 FortiSwitchOS in a 1RU chassis - enough power for access points, IP phones and cameras across a wiring closet. Managed over FortiLink from any FortiGate, it folds wired access into the Security Fabric - one console for switching, Wi-Fi and security, with no separate controller. It also runs standalone.
The 224D-FPOE is a legacy-generation switch that we still stock new, support and renew. For a current full PoE+ 24-port switch with the same 370 W budget, see the FortiSwitch 124F-FPOE; within the current 200-series, the 224E-POE powers 12 ports (180 W) and the 224E is data only.
