1 GE SFP extended-range transceiver
40km · SMF · LC connector
Genuine Fortinet-coded SFP, SFP+, SFP28, QSFP+, QSFP28, QSFP56 and QSFP-DD optics, plus direct-attach, active-optical and breakout cables from 1 GbE to 400 GbE. Coded to pass the Fortinet compatibility check, so they light up in your FortiGate, FortiSwitch or FortiExtender the first time.

Every part is a Fortinet-coded transceiver or cable, not a grey-market clone, so it passes the compatibility check and keeps your support entitlement clean.
Coded for FortiGate, FortiSwitch and FortiExtender ports. Match the form factor to the slot and it links the first time, no unsupported-transceiver alarms.
The full current range: SFP, SFP+, SFP28, SFP56, QSFP+, QSFP28, QSFP56 and QSFP-DD, in short, long and extended reach.

No parts match those filters. Ask us for the right part.
Match the part to the port and the distance. The form factor sets the speed (SFP = 1G, SFP+ = 10G, SFP28 = 25G, QSFP+ = 40G, QSFP28 = 100G, QSFP56 = 200G, QSFP-DD = 400G); the reach sets how far it runs.
A pluggable optic (SFP to QSFP-DD) that takes a fiber or copper patch lead. Choose the form factor to match the port, then the reach: SR for short multimode runs, LR for ~10 km single-mode, ER/ZR for 40 to 80 km.
A cable with the transceivers built in. Direct-attach copper (DAC) is the low-cost choice for short in-rack links; active optical (AOC) carries the same connection further over fiber. No separate optics to buy.
Split one high-speed port into several lower-speed links, for example a 100G QSFP28 into 4x 25G, or a 400G QSFP-DD into 8x 50G. Ideal for connecting a spine port to multiple servers or switches.
Yes. Every module and cable here is a genuine Fortinet-coded part (the FN-, FG- and FR- SKUs from the Fortinet price list). They carry the correct vendor coding, so FortiOS recognises them and they do not trip the unsupported-transceiver warning that third-party optics can cause.
Yes, as long as the form factor matches the port. Fortinet-coded optics are validated for FortiGate, FortiSwitch and FortiExtender. Match the module to the slot: an SFP port takes 1 GbE, SFP+ takes 10 GbE, SFP28 takes 25 GbE, QSFP+ takes 40 GbE, QSFP28 takes 100 GbE, QSFP56 takes 200 GbE and QSFP-DD takes 400 GbE.
A transceiver module is a pluggable optic that you connect with a separate fiber or copper patch lead. A direct-attach copper cable (DAC) has the transceivers permanently attached and is the cheapest option for short in-rack links. An active optical cable (AOC) is similar but uses fiber to reach further. A breakout cable splits one high-speed port into several lower-speed ports, such as a 100G QSFP28 into four 25G links.
Reach depends on the optic and the fiber. Short range (SR) runs over multimode fiber for in-building links, typically up to 100 to 500 metres. Long range (LR) runs over single-mode fiber to about 10 km. Extended range (ER) reaches roughly 40 km and ZR up to about 80 km. Copper RJ45 optics cover 30 to 80 metres, and DAC cables cover 1 to 10 metres.
No. Genuine Fortinet-coded optics and cables are supported accessories and do not affect your FortiGate or FortiSwitch warranty or FortiCare entitlement. Using unsupported third-party optics is what can complicate support, which is why we supply the genuine coded parts.
Yes. All parts are priced live in your selected currency and ship across Canada, typically within a few business days. Hardware ships within Canada; contact us for other destinations.
Yes. The catalogue covers the current Fortinet transceiver and cable range, but we can source additional parts, bulk quantities and multipacks. Send us the SKU or describe the link you need and we will quote it.
Generally yes, when the form factor and speed match the port. The same Fortinet-coded SFP+ or QSFP28, for example, is validated across FortiGate and FortiSwitch platforms. If you are building a specific link and want it confirmed, send us both ends and we will verify compatibility before you buy.
Tell us the ports on each end and the distance, and we will confirm the exact Fortinet part, reach and quantity, or quote a bulk order. Fast, no obligation.
