The FN-CABLE-QSFP28-4SFP28-3 is Fortinet’s 3-metre 100G-to-4x25G breakout DAC, giving the fan-out extra reach to cross into an adjacent rack. One QSFP28 connector plugs into a 100GbE breakout port; the four SFP28 tails land on 25GbE ports. Every end is a genuine, integrated Fortinet optic, so both sides clear the appliance’s compatibility check. The whole split is passive copper, so it stays low-cost and low-power.

The QSFP28 end requires a 100GbE port set to 4x25G breakout mode; the four SFP28 ends go into 25GbE SFP28 ports. For same-rack fan-out use the 1m FN-CABLE-QSFP28-4SFP28-1; for a longer reach the 5m FN-CABLE-QSFP28-4SFP28-5. A straight 100G link uses the FN-CABLE-QSFP28-3.
