Duplex single-mode fiber keeps the cabling simple compared with parallel MPO. For a short in-row link the multimode FN-TRAN-QSFP+SR is cheaper, and where the enclosure runs hot or cold the industrial-temperature FN-TRAN-QSFP+LRI carries the same 10km reach across a wider -40 to 85 degrees C range.

Fits QSFP+ and QSFP28 slots on Fortinet appliances and connects over duplex-LC single-mode fiber at 40GbE to 10km. Pair it with a matching LR4 optic at the far end. For 150m multimode use the FN-TRAN-QSFP+SR, for 40km the FN-TRAN-QSFP+ER, and for wide-temperature deployments the FN-TRAN-QSFP+LRI.
