Fortinet 10GbE SFP+ ER Industrial-Temp Transceiver Module, 40km (FN-TRAN-SFP+ERI)

The FN-TRAN-SFP+ERI is the hardened, wide-temperature version of Fortinet’s 40km 10GbE ER optic. Electrically it is the same 10GBASE-ER module, 1550nm over single-mode fibre to 40km on a duplex LC connector, but it is qualified across an industrial -40°C to 85°C range for deployment in outdoor cabinets, cell sites, transport, energy, and other OT environments where the standard ER’s -5°C to 70°C rating is not enough. It installs in any SFP+ cage on a FortiGate, FortiSwitch, or FortiManager and passes the appliance’s transceiver check.

For links inside a temperature-controlled facility, the standard FN-TRAN-SFP+ER is the economical choice; for 80km, step up to the FN-TRAN-SFP+ZR.
