Fortinet 100GE CFP2 SR10 to 10x 10GE Fan-Out Cable, 1m (FG-CABLE-SR10-SFP+)

Some high-end FortiGate platforms terminate 100GbE on a CFP2 SR10 cage instead of QSFP28, and the FG-CABLE-SR10-SFP+ is the fan-out cable that turns that one 100G port into ten separate 10GbE connections. It is a 1m MPO-to-10xLC parallel breakout over OM3 multimode fiber. The CFP2 end has no built-in optics, so the far end needs ten SFP+ transceivers (sold separately) to light the individual 10GbE legs.

This is the standard way to break a single 100GE CFP2 uplink on a high-end FortiGate into ten discrete 10GbE connections feeding separate switches or servers, typically inside the same rack or row given the 1m reach. It is the CFP2-side equivalent of a QSFP28-to-4xSFP28 breakout, just at 10x density instead of 4x.

Compatibility

Fits the CFP2 SR10 cage on 100G-capable FortiGate appliances. Requires OM3 (or better) multimode MPO trunk cabling and ten SFP+ transceivers at the fan-out end — the FN-TRAN-SFP+SR module is the matching short-range optic. For a 5m reach instead of 1m, use the FG-CABLE-SR10-SFP+5.
