The FG-CABLE-SR10-SFP+5 is the longer-reach version of Fortinet’s CFP2 fan-out cable, covering the same 100GE-to-10x10GE breakout at 5m instead of 1m. It uses the same MPO-to-10xLC OM3 multimode construction, so it reaches across a wider cabinet or between neighbouring racks where the 1m version would fall short.

At 5m, this breakout reaches across a full cabinet row or an adjacent rack, which the 1m version cannot. Use it when the ten downstream 10GbE devices are not stacked directly under the CFP2-equipped FortiGate. As with the 1m version, each of the ten legs still needs its own SFP+ transceiver.
Fits the CFP2 SR10 cage on 100G-capable FortiGate appliances. Needs OM3 (or better) multimode MPO trunk cabling and ten SFP+ transceivers such as the FN-TRAN-SFP+SR at the fan-out end. For same-rack runs, the 1m FG-CABLE-SR10-SFP+ is the lower-cost option.
