The FN-TRAN-SFP28-SR brings 25-gigabit short-range connectivity to Fortinet appliances that carry SFP28 cages. It runs 25GBASE-SR (and falls back to 10GBASE-SR) over multimode fiber at 850nm to 100m, using a duplex LC connector. Because it is Fortinet-branded and qualified, it is accepted by the appliance rather than flagged as an unknown optic.
