The FN-CABLE-QSFP56-DAC-LB5 is the longer-reach passive 200GBASE-CR4 twinax cable in Fortinet’s QSFP56 range, at 2.5 metres. It carries 200GbE over four 50G PAM4 lanes with QSFP56 connectors on both ends, and needs no separate optics. The extra length lets a 200G copper link cross into an adjacent rack while keeping the cost and power advantages of DAC. As a Fortinet-qualified assembly, it is accepted by the appliance like a genuine module.

At 2.5m this 200GbE DAC bridges QSFP56 ports across neighbouring racks, feeding a firewall-to-spine or spine-to-leaf link on the newest FortiGate platforms without moving to optics. It is the choice when the 1m FN-CABLE-QSFP56-DAC-L1 will not span the gap but the run still stays well inside copper’s reach.

Compatibility
