Passive 400G DAC is the workhorse for in-rack spine and aggregation links: a 400G-capable FortiGate to an adjacent top-of-rack switch, or two devices stacked in the same cabinet. At 1m it suits same-rack connections where cost and thermals matter and the run is short. Because the cable is passive with optics built in, it is plug-and-play with no separate modules.
Connects two 400GbE QSFP-DD ports as a single fixed-end assembly. For a longer straight run use the 2.5m FN-CABLE-QSFPDD-DAC-B5 or the 3m FN-CABLE-QSFPDD-AOC-03 active optical cable. To split the 400G port into 2x200G or 8x50G, use the FN-CABLE-QSFPDD-2QSFP56 or FN-CABLE-QSFPDD-8SFP56 breakout cables.
