All 424E models share the same 24-port / 128 Gbps platform with four 10GE SFP+ uplinks. They differ by Power over Ethernet: the data-only 424E has no PoE output, the 424E-POE powers all 24 ports at a 250 W budget, and the 424E-FPOE raises that budget to 421 W.
The 424E-POE is the mid-range PoE member of the 400-series Campus access line. The 248E-POE covers 48 ports at lower switching capacity, and the 448E-POE steps up to 48 ports and 176 Gbps. Same FortiSwitchOS and FortiLink management across the range.
