The FS-AX9000G-PS-2K5DC is the DC power supply for the FortiSwitch AX9000G chassis family, delivering 2,500 W from a −48 to −60 V DC feed. It is the option for central offices, telco facilities and any site standardised on DC plant rather than rack AC.
A chassis accepts up to eight hot-swappable supplies, and they can be AC or DC. How many you need depends on the installed supervisor modules and line cards: an AX9004G draws up to 20.0 kW on DC at maximum configuration, and a chassis populated with LC10P PoE cards sits at the top of that range because each card carries a 4,320 W PoE budget of its own.
The same unit fits both the four-slot FS-AX9004G and the eight-slot FS-AX9008G. If you are on AC, the FS-AX9000G-PS-3KAC delivers 3,000 W at 200–240 V. Supplies are hot swappable, so a failed unit can be replaced with the chassis in service.
