The FS-AX9000G-LC100 is the 100 gigabit line card for the FortiSwitch AX9000G chassis family. Thirty-two QSFP28 ports run at 100 or 40 GE, with 82 MB of packet buffers behind them. Four of these cards in an FS-AX9004G give 128 ports of 100 GE from a single 11RU chassis.
This is the configuration Fortinet uses for the family's headline performance numbers: 12.8 Tbps of duplex switching capacity and 5,253 Mpps of forwarding, measured with one supervisor module and four LC100 cards. Latency across the chassis is under 4.3 microseconds.
The card is data only, with no Power over Ethernet, and is hot swappable. It fits both the four-slot FS-AX9004G and the eight-slot FS-AX9008G and occupies one line-card slot. For 400 GE, the LC400 card provides eight QSFP-DD ports.
