The FS-AX9000G-LC400 is the 400 gigabit line card for the FortiSwitch AX9000G chassis family. Eight QSFP-DD ports run at 400, 100 or 40 GE, making it the highest-speed option in the range and the card to reach for on spine and core links where 100 GE is no longer enough.
Full specifications are not yet published. Fortinet's current FortiSwitch-AX9000G Series datasheet, revision R01 of December 2025, covers the four-slot chassis and the LC10P, LC10S, LC25 and LC100 line cards; the LC400 is listed on the price list as a new product. The port configuration above is confirmed by Fortinet's ordering information. We do not publish packet buffer, power or weight figures for this card because Fortinet has not released them, and we will not estimate them.
The card fits both the four-slot FS-AX9004G and the eight-slot FS-AX9008G and occupies one line-card slot, like every other AX9000G line card. Ask us to confirm current specifications, firmware requirements and availability before you order.

At present the only 400 GE part on Fortinet’s price list is the FN-CABLE-QSFPDD-AOC-03 active optical cable, 3 m. There is no 400 GE QSFP-DD transceiver module listed. Talk to us about your reach requirements before ordering — we would rather confirm than have you buy the wrong part.
Yes. A line card does not work on its own — it needs an AX9004G or AX9008G chassis with at least one FS-AX9000G-SUP supervisor module, fan modules and power supplies. Ask us to quote the complete system if you are building a chassis from scratch.
No. The AX9000G family is managed through FortiSwitchNMS, Fortinet’s network management platform. Fortinet has stated that Security Fabric integration through FortiLink is planned for this platform, but it is not available today, so an AX9000G chassis is not managed from a FortiGate the way fixed-configuration FortiSwitch models are.
