The FS-AX9000G-LC25 is the 25 gigabit line card for the FortiSwitch AX9000G chassis family. Forty-eight SFP28 ports run at 25 or 10 GE for server and storage access, and four QSFP28 ports provide 100 or 40 GE uplinks from the same card. That combination makes it the natural leaf card in a modern data-center fabric: 25 GE to the host, 100 GE to the spine.
It carries 82 MB of packet buffers, an order of magnitude more than the 10 GE cards, which matters for incast-heavy workloads where many senders converge on one receiver. Four LC25 cards in an FS-AX9004G give 192 ports of 25 GE plus 16 ports of 100 GE.
The SFP28 ports do not support 1 GE SFP transceivers — they are 25 and 10 GE only. The card is hot swappable, fits both the FS-AX9004G and the FS-AX9008G, and occupies one line-card slot. There is no Power over Ethernet on this card.

Four QSFP28 ports running at 100 or 40 GE, on the same card as the 48 SFP28 access ports. That means a leaf card does not need to borrow uplink capacity from another slot — 25 GE to the host and 100 GE to the spine come from one line card.
No. The 48 SFP28 ports run at 25 or 10 GE only; 1 GE SFP transceivers are not supported. If you need 1 GE fibre on an AX9000G chassis, the LC10S line card takes 1 GE SFP on its 48 primary ports.
82 MB versus 8 MB. Larger buffers matter in data-center fabrics with incast traffic patterns, where many servers respond to one request simultaneously and the switch has to absorb the burst. The 100 GE LC100 and the LC25 share the same 82 MB buffer.
Yes. A line card does not work on its own — it needs an AX9004G or AX9008G chassis with at least one FS-AX9000G-SUP supervisor module, fan modules and power supplies. Ask us to quote the complete system if you are building a chassis from scratch.
No. The AX9000G family is managed through FortiSwitchNMS. Fortinet has stated that Security Fabric integration through FortiLink is planned for this platform, but it is not available today.
