End-of-sale ruggedized PoE+ switch for harsh environments (8x GE RJ45 with 802.3at PoE+ + 4x GE SFP, 24 Gbps switching, fanless hardened design, FortiLink-managed). The FSR-112D-POE hardware is no longer stocked - the current ruggedized replacement is the FortiSwitchRugged 424F-POE. See the upgrade path below.

The FortiSwitchRugged 112D-POE is a hardened, fanless Layer 2/3 switch built for harsh environments - 8 ports of GbE on RJ45 with 802.3at PoE+ (up to 30 W per port) plus 4 GbE SFP fiber slots, 24 Gbps of switching capacity, in a compact DIN-rail or wall-mountable rugged chassis with extended temperature tolerance and no moving parts. Designed for outdoor cabinets, transportation, utility and industrial sites, it powers IP cameras, wireless APs and sensors over PoE+ while being managed over FortiLink from any FortiGate, folding the rugged edge into the Security Fabric.
The 112D-POE has reached end of sale and is no longer stocked as new hardware. The current ruggedized replacement is the FortiSwitchRugged 424F-POE - a hardened multi-gig PoE++ switch with far greater port density, power budget and uplink capacity. See the upgrade path below, or contact us for migration help.

Download the FortiSwitchRugged datasheetThe 112D-POE is a compact 8-port GbE PoE+ rugged switch, now end of sale. The current-generation equivalent is the FortiSwitchRugged 424F-POE, which adds multi-gig 2.5GE PoE++ ports, SFP+ and 10/40GE uplinks and a much larger PoE budget, keeping the fanless hardened design.

The 112D-POE is end of sale. The FortiSwitchRugged 424F-POE is the direct, currently-shipping replacement – a hardened multi-gig PoE++ switch with more ports, a larger power budget and 10/40GE uplinks. Same FortiSwitchOS and FortiLink management.
1 GbE SFP transceivers (SX short-range, LX long-range) for the four GE SFP fiber slots.
No. The FortiSwitchRugged 112D-POE (FSR-112D-POE) has reached end of sale and is no longer stocked as new hardware. The current ruggedized replacement is the FortiSwitchRugged 424F-POE – we can quote it and help you migrate.
The FortiSwitchRugged 424F-POE is the current hardened FortiSwitch – a multi-gig PoE++ rugged switch with far more ports (12x 2.5GE PoE++ plus 12x SFP+ and 10/40GE uplinks), a much larger PoE budget and higher switching capacity, while keeping the fanless rugged design.
8 GbE ports on RJ45 (all PoE/PoE+ capable, 802.3at up to 30 W per port) plus 4 GbE SFP fiber slots, 24 Gbps switching capacity, an 8,000-entry MAC table and 4,094 VLANs, Layer 2/3 FortiSwitchOS, in a compact fanless hardened DIN-rail / wall-mountable chassis with extended operating temperature.
Over FortiLink from any FortiGate firewall, so switching and security were managed in one console with no separate controller. It could also run standalone. The 424F-POE keeps the same FortiLink management.
Yes. As a Fortinet Select Partner we can spec the right current rugged FortiSwitch, match port, PoE and environmental needs, and quote hardware plus FortiCare. Hardware ships free and fast; licensing is delivered electronically worldwide.
