The FortiSwitch 1024E is a data center class switch built for low-latency 10-gigabit aggregation and top-of-rack deployment. It provides 24 ports of 1/10 GE on SFP/SFP+ for server, storage and uplink connectivity, plus two flexible 40/100 GE QSFP28 ports for high-speed aggregation to the core or spine. With 880 Gbps of switching capacity and roughly 1 microsecond latency, it handles east-west traffic and high-density 10G fan-out with headroom. Dual hot-swappable AC power supplies keep it running through a power event, and Layer 2/3 FortiSwitchOS handles segmentation and routing. As a FortiGate switch-controller compatible switch, it is managed over FortiLink and joins the Security Fabric - one console for switching and security, no separate controller. Download the full datasheetThe 1024 data center switches share an 880 Gbps platform with two 100 GE QSFP28 uplinks and dual redundant power. They differ by access media and PoE: the 1024E uses SFP+ fiber, the T1024E uses 10GBASE-T copper, and the T1024F-FPOE adds 802.3bt PoE on copper.
The 1024E is the 24-port 10G fiber member of the FortiSwitch data center line. Choose the T1024E for 10GBASE-T copper, or step up to the 48-port 2048F for higher density. Same FortiSwitchOS and FortiLink management across the range.
