Forty-eight multi-rate RJ45 ports split across 32 ports at 1/2.5 GE and 16 ports at 1/2.5/5 GE — cover a full floor of endpoints and Wi-Fi 6E/7 access points in a single 1RU device. Eight flexible 1/10/25 GE SFP28 uplinks aggregate to the core at 720 Gbps (1,071 Mpps), and hardware MACsec encrypts traffic on the wire. Layer 2/3 FortiSwitchOS handles segmentation and routing. Managed over FortiLink from any FortiGate, it folds wired access into the Security Fabric — one console for switching, Wi-Fi and security, with no separate controller.
