It mixes 16 ports of 1 GE, 8 ports of 2.5 GE and 2 ports of 5 GE RJ45 - 24 ports of PoE with a 421 W budget - so multi-gig APs and devices run at full speed over existing cabling, no recabling required. Four 10 GE SFP+ uplinks aggregate to the core, and 172 Gbps of switching keeps the closet from becoming a bottleneck. Redundant AC power keeps critical access online. Managed over FortiLink from any FortiGate, it folds wired access into the Security Fabric - one console for switching, Wi-Fi and security, with no separate controller. It also runs standalone.
