Fortinet Gigabit PoE Injector, 802.3bt 60W Single-Port (GPI-145)

The GPI-145 is Fortinet’s high-power PoE injector: a single-port, mid-span unit that adds IEEE 802.3bt Power over Ethernet – up to 60 watts – onto a multi-gigabit Ethernet run (10/100/1000 Mbps and 2.5/5/10 Gbps) so a power-hungry 802.3bt FortiAP can run where the switch does not supply PoE. It powers only PoE-capable devices, so it is safe to insert on a shared link. It is the top tier above the GPI-115 (802.3af, 15.4W) and GPI-130 (802.3at, 30W).

Where this injector fits

Use the GPI-145 to power a single high-power 802.3bt FortiAP – typically the tri-radio or Wi-Fi 6E/7 models that draw more than 30W – over the data cable when the switch has no 802.3bt port. Its multi-gigabit passthrough (up to 10 Gbps) keeps the AP’s uplink at full speed. For 30W or 15.4W access points, the GPI-130 and GPI-115 are the lower tiers.

Compatibility

Powers Fortinet FortiAP access points that accept IEEE 802.3bt PoE, at up to 60 W, and passes 10/100/1000 Mbps plus 2.5/5/10 Gbps data. For lower-power APs the GPI-130 supplies 802.3at (30 W) and the GPI-115 supplies 802.3af (15.4 W). All three are single-port, mid-span injectors that pass power only to PoE-capable devices.
