How it works

Each enrolled device runs a rotating six-digit code synchronized to the appliance clock, entered with the password at VPN, SSL-VPN, or admin login. Administrators provision the twenty-five tokens against user accounts already defined on the FortiGate or FortiAuthenticator, so a department can be onboarded in one pass rather than through several small license purchases. Registration requires FortiOS 5.6.0 or later, or FortiAuthenticator 1.4 or later.
