It delivers 48 PoE+ (802.3af/at) ports on a 772 W budget, four 10GE SFP+ fiber uplinks and 176 Gbps of switching capacity, in a 1RU rack-mount chassis with optional redundant AC power. Managed over FortiLink from any FortiGate, it folds wired access into the Security Fabric - one console for switching, Wi-Fi and security, with no separate controller. It also runs standalone. Powering fewer devices? The 448E-POE (421 W) covers lighter loads, and the data-only 448E drops PoE entirely.

All 48 access ports support PoE+ (802.3af/at) on a 772 W power budget, enough to power a full high-density closet of Wi-Fi access points, IP phones and cameras. For lighter loads, the 448E-POE offers a 421 W budget; the data-only 448E has no PoE.
Over FortiLink from any FortiGate firewall, so switching, Wi-Fi and security are managed in one console with no separate controller. It can also run standalone.
