Where this blade fits

Order the BDM-4500G to expand an FAZ-BD-4500G’s compute and ingestion capacity blade by blade, or to restore a slot after a hardware fault. Because the blade hot-swaps, the big-data cluster keeps ingesting logs while the module is replaced, which is the point of the design on a platform sized for hundreds of thousands of logs per second.

Compatibility

Fits the G-generation FortiAnalyzer Big Data FAZ-BD-4500G chassis only, in any of slots 1 through 14. The previous F-generation FAZ-BD-4500F is serviced at the drive level instead, with the SP-BD4500F-SSD-B1 and -B2 blade drives; those parts do not apply to the G chassis. Blade storage expansion on the 4500G uses the SP-FAZBD4500G-SSD kit.
