Rated NEMA 4X, it resists dust, water, and corrosion for indoor or outdoor use, and its size accommodates a range of current FortiAP models. It is the enclosure to reach for when an access point has to run in a dusty plant, a wet area, or an outdoor spot without its own weatherproof rating.

Use the FAP-ENC-12X10 to deploy an indoor FortiAP in an environment its own housing is not built for, a manufacturing floor, a wash-down area, a covered outdoor space, where a NEMA 4X box keeps dust and water off the electronics. It is the general-purpose enclosure; for stadium and arena under-seat placement the FAP-ENC-43X is the purpose-built option.

Compatibility

Houses the current FAP-441K/231K/241K/243K, 233G/231G, 433G/431G, 433F/431F, U433F/U431F, and U233F/U231F access points. Pair with an outdoor mount such as the FAP-BRKT-MNT-5 where the enclosure is wall- or mast-mounted. For under-seat stadium mounting, use the FAP-ENC-43X wedge enclosure instead.
