The DC build of Fortinet’s biggest chassis arrives ready for the plant room: the FG-7121F-DC-CH packs the same 16 RU, 12-slot frame and 1 Tbps fabric as the AC model, with two redundant system management modules and six fans, but its eight power supplies are DC units and Fortinet includes the eight DC input cables in the box. For A+B feed redundancy, the companion FG-7121F-DC-COMBINER shelf terminates dual plant feeds ahead of the supplies. FIM and FPM modules are ordered separately.

National carriers and DC-plant hyperscale sites take the 7121F in this form so all eight supplies land directly on -48V distribution. The included input cables and the optional A+B combiner shelf are what make the difference between a clean commissioning and weeks of plant rework.

Compatibility

Same module map as the AC chassis: 7000F-series FIMs in slots 1-2, up to ten FPMs in slots 3-12, FG-7121F-FAN cooling FRUs. Power spares are the dedicated 2KW DC module FG-7121F-PS-2KDC or the shared 2.5KW FG7K-PS-2K5DC; pair with the FG-7121F-DC-COMBINER for dual-feed redundancy.
