The Fortinet FS-PSU-600 is a spare AC power supply module for the FortiSwitch FS-524D-FPOE. On a fully-loaded PoE+ switch, a second supply provides the additional PoE power budget the switch needs to keep every attached phone, camera, or access point powered, and adds a redundancy path so a single supply fault does not take the switch down. It is a genuine Fortinet field-replaceable unit; the power cord is not included and is ordered separately.

Where this power supply fits

A PoE FortiSwitch does two jobs at once — switching traffic and delivering power over Ethernet — so its power budget is what limits how many devices it can drive. Adding the FS-PSU-600 gives the FS-524D-FPOE the extra PoE headroom to power a denser set of endpoints, and a redundant supply so a power fault does not drop the access layer. It installs as a field-replaceable module without replacing the switch.

Compatibility

This supply is specific to the FortiSwitch FS-524D-FPOE. For the larger FS-548D-FPOE use the FS-PSU-920 instead, and for the FS-3032E data-center switch use the FS-PSU-800. The AC power cord ships separately — pair it with an SP-FGPCOR IEC cord for your region.
