The SP-FG80E-POE-PDC is a Fortinet AC power adapter for the PoE-capable desktop FortiGate and FortiWiFi firewalls: FG-60E-POE, FG-70E-POE, FG71G-POE, FWF-70G-POE, FG-80E-POE, FG-81E-POE, FG-80/81F-POE, FWF-81F-2R-POE and FWF-81F-2R-3G4G-POE. These models feed Power over Ethernet to downstream devices, so they draw more than the standard 12V desktop line and require this dedicated PoE-class supply. The matching power cable (SP-FGPCOR-XX) is sold separately.

Where this adapter fits

The -POE variants of the desktop FortiGate/FortiWiFi line power connected devices — an access point, IP phone or camera — over their LAN ports, which raises the appliance’s own power draw. The SP-FG80E-POE-PDC is the supply built for that load. Use it only with the -POE models; the non-PoE desktop firewalls take the lower-power SP-FG60E-PDC-5 12V adapter instead.

Powers the PoE desktop firewalls: FG-60E-POE, FG-70E-POE, FG71G-POE, FWF-70G-POE, FG-80E-POE, FG-81E-POE, FG-80/81F-POE, FWF-81F-2R-POE and FWF-81F-2R-3G4G-POE. It is a distinct, higher-power PoE-class supply — do not substitute a 12V SP-FG60E-PDC-5 adapter for a PoE model. The related SP-FG50G-POE-PDC-5P covers the 50G/70G/71G-POE ‘G’ generation. Add the SP-FGPCOR power cord separately.
