The Fortinet SP-FXX1000D-PS is a spare AC power supply for the legacy D-generation FortiGate FG-900D and FG-1000D and the FXX-1000D chassis. For appliances still in production service, a genuine spare keeps the firewall online while you plan any refresh. It is a genuine Fortinet field-replaceable module, and the SP-FGPCOR-XX power cable is ordered separately.

Where this power supply fits

The FG-900D and FG-1000D remain in production at many sites where a hardware refresh has not yet landed. A power supply is one of the few moving parts in these firewalls and a common failure point over a long service life, so keeping the SP-FXX1000D-PS on the shelf — with both bays populated — turns a supply fault into a hot-swap rather than an outage. If you are planning ahead, current-generation FortiGate models such as the FG-900G offer an upgrade path.
