FortiCare Premium is Fortinet’s advanced support tier for the FortiSwitch-448E-POE (48-port GE RJ45 partial-PoE switch (4x 10GE SFP+ uplinks, 421 W PoE budget)). It activates the following coverage from the date you register the contract key at support.fortinet.com:

• 24×7 phone and portal support — reach a Fortinet engineer at any hour, any day, through both the phone queue and the online support portal.
• 1-hour critical issue response — for severity-1 problems affecting production, Fortinet’s SLA commits to an initial response within one hour of case submission.
• Advance hardware replacement — Fortinet ships a replacement unit before receiving the defective switch back, reducing total downtime compared to standard return-and-replace.
• Firmware and security advisory access — full access to FortiSwitch firmware releases, bug fixes, and Fortinet security advisories for the contract term.
• Priority RMA eligibility — Premium contracts are eligible for the Priority RMA add-on (FC-10-S448x-210), which further accelerates parts dispatch when standard advance replacement timing is not fast enough.

Activation and Delivery

FC-10-S448x-247 contracts are delivered electronically. After your order is confirmed through DataCenter360.ca, a license key is emailed within 0 to 1 business days. To activate:

1. Log in at support.fortinet.com with your Fortinet account.
2. Go to Asset Management and locate or register your FortiSwitch-448E-POE by serial number.
3. Select the asset and choose Add Contract; enter the key from your email.
4. Coverage begins from the activation date.

There is no hardware shipment for a service contract. If you are activating coverage on a switch already in use, coverage begins the moment you complete registration — not from the original hardware purchase date.
