End-of-life 1U enterprise next-generation firewall, the fiber-dense model of the 100E series with eight GE SFP slots, built on Fortinet's NP6lite and CP9 security processors with 7.4 Gbps firewall throughput and 2 million concurrent sessions. The FortiGate 100EF hardware is no longer sold — FortiGuard and FortiCare renewals remain available below, and the FortiGate 100F is the direct currently-shipping replacement.
The FortiGate 100EF is end of life. The FortiGate 100F is the direct, currently-shipping replacement with about 2.7x the firewall throughput; the FortiGate 120G steps up further with 10 GE and higher session capacity. Same FortiOS and FortiGuard services across the range.
