End-of-life 1U enterprise next-generation firewall built on Fortinet's NP6 and CP9 security processors, with 32 Gbps firewall throughput, 4 million concurrent sessions, sixteen GE ports and sixteen GE SFP slots. The FortiGate 300E hardware is no longer sold — FortiGuard and FortiCare renewals are still available below, and the FortiGate 400F is the direct, currently-shipping replacement.
The FortiGate 300E is end of life. The FortiGate 400F is the direct, currently-shipping replacement with about 2.5x the firewall throughput and 3x the threat protection; the FortiGate 600F steps up further with 139 Gbps firewall, 8 M sessions and 25 GbE.
