What’s in the box

The 2201E’s NP6 processors push IPv4 firewall throughput to 158 Gbps at 1518-byte packet sizes, and the onboard SSDs mean local logging and packet capture don’t compete with an external storage array. With 500,000 new sessions per second and 24 million concurrent sessions, the platform holds up under dense east-west data center traffic, large SD-WAN hub deployments, and carrier or MSP aggregation points where a mid-range FortiGate would bottleneck.
