Sensitive data leaving a network unnoticed is one of the harder problems to catch after the fact. The FortiGate 2600F-DC 1-Year FortiGuard Data Loss Prevention Service (FC-10-FD26F-589-02-12) adds that visibility for twelve months on a FortiGate 2600F-DC already in service. Subscription only, no hardware, delivered electronically to any country.
The DLP subscription activates FortiGuard’s predefined pattern database on the FortiGate 2600F-DC for the full term. Network traffic passing through the appliance is inspected against a library of sensitive-data signatures, credit card numbers, and similar regulated data patterns, with policy actions ranging from logging to blocking the transfer outright. Because inspection happens inline on the firewall itself, there is no separate DLP appliance or agent to deploy: the DLP profile attaches directly to existing firewall policies and dictionaries on the 2600F-DC.
Coverage runs for the full 12-month term from activation, with FortiGuard refreshing the pattern dictionaries centrally so the appliance stays current without a firmware upgrade.
This license fits a FortiGate 2600F-DC that already carries other FortiGuard coverage, an ATP or UTP subscription, individual IPS or malware services, or a FortiCare contract, and now needs a data-loss layer added on top for a compliance requirement (PCI-DSS cardholder data, for example) without re-buying everything else. If the 2600F-DC has no active FortiGuard subscription at all yet, moving straight to the Enterprise bundle is usually the more direct path, since DLP is bundled inside it alongside the rest of the attack-surface coverage.
Data Loss Prevention is not split across every tier the way IPS or antivirus is. On the FortiGate 2600F-DC, DLP ships only inside the Enterprise subscription bundle; neither the ATP nor the UTP tier includes it, and buying it à la carte (this SKU) is the only way to add it without stepping up to Enterprise. The table below places this service against the three bundle tiers:
| FortiGuard Service | ATP | UTP | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|
| IPS | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Advanced Malware Protection (AV) | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| FortiCare Premium (24×7) | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| URL / DNS / Video Filtering | — | ✓ | ✓ |
| Anti-Spam | — | ✓ | ✓ |
| AI-based Inline Malware Prevention | — | — | ✓ |
| Data Loss Prevention (DLP) | — | — | ✓ |
| Attack Surface Security & IoT Detection | — | — | ✓ |
If the goal is broader coverage rather than just the data-loss layer, the Enterprise subscription (FC-10-FD26F-809-02-12) includes this service plus inline malware prevention, IoT detection, and attack-surface scoring in one contract instead of buying each piece separately.
The license is issued electronically and registered against a specific FortiGate 2600F-DC by serial number. Once applied, the DLP profile and its pattern dictionaries are available for use in firewall policy for the full 12-month term. Nothing ships, and a working FortiGate 2600F-DC is required before the license can be activated.
DataCenter360.ca is an authorized Fortinet Select Partner and this DLP license is genuine, e-delivered, and available to buyers anywhere. If it’s not yet clear whether this standalone service or the full Enterprise bundle is the better fit for the 2600F-DC in question, we’re glad to run the comparison before an order goes in.
