The FortiGate 3200D shipped with hardware-accelerated threat inspection — but those inspection engines need live intelligence to catch current exploits. FC-10-03200-108-02-12 renews FortiGuard IPS on the 3200D for one year, feeding the device continuous signature updates and protocol anomaly rules so it keeps blocking real threats, not just the ones documented before its last update.
FortiGuard Intrusion Prevention scans traffic inline using a library of over 19,000 signatures, maintained and updated by Fortinet’s FortiGuard Labs threat research team. The service identifies and blocks known exploits, protocol violations, and behavioral patterns associated with lateral movement and command-and-control callbacks. On the 3200D, IPS processing is hardware-offloaded to the onboard NP6 network processors, so deep inspection does not degrade throughput on high-volume edge or data-center traffic.
The subscription also keeps the local malicious URL database current, which IPS profiles use to detect drive-by exploit attempts and block botnet C&C communications embedded in web requests.
The 3200D reached its End-of-Order date in April 2023, meaning new units are no longer available. Its Last Service Extension Date is April 2027 — service subscriptions remain purchasable until then, and End-of-Support is April 2028. Organizations mid-lifecycle on a 3200D, or those with a network refresh planned before 2028, use this SKU to keep continuous protection in place without pulling forward a platform change on a compressed timeline.
FortiGuard IPS is a software entitlement with no geographic restriction. DataCenter360.ca delivers the license key by email within 0–1 business days of order. You register it at support.fortinet.com, link it to the FortiGate 3200D serial number, and apply it in FortiOS. No hardware shipment, no technician visit required.
FortiGuard IPS is included in all three FortiGuard protection bundles. If the 3200D is currently running only the standalone IPS service, the comparison below shows what each bundle adds. For deployments approaching a renewal decision, evaluating a step up to UTP or Enterprise may provide broader coverage per renewal dollar.

DataCenter360.ca is an authorized Fortinet Select Partner. FortiGuard IPS renewals for the 3200D ship electronically and work regardless of where the device is deployed — there is no geographic restriction on licensing. Place your order, receive the entitlement key by email, and apply it before the current subscription lapses. If the 3200D renewal is part of a broader infrastructure conversation, pricing on service bundles or alternative FortiGuard coverage paths is available on request.
