• OT Vulnerability Correlation and Virtual Patching: matches detected devices against known CVEs in Fortinet’s OT threat intelligence database and applies FortiGate IPS virtual patches to block exploitation attempts, protecting devices that cannot be patched at the OS level.
• OT Application Control and IPS: additional signatures covering industrial communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and others) so the FortiGate can detect and block anomalous or unauthorized traffic at the application layer inside the OT environment.
