Product description

Ransomware and malware campaigns that reach your network through email attachments or web downloads need a file-level inspection layer. The FC-10-FG60E-100-02-12 keeps that layer active for one year on your FortiGate 60E-DSL with FortiGuard Advanced Malware Protection — antivirus, mobile malware detection, botnet domain blocking, and outbreak protection all included.

What Advanced Malware Protection Covers

The AMP subscription on the 60E-DSL combines several overlapping detection mechanisms. The core antivirus engine scans files traversing the firewall against Fortinet’s continuously updated signature database. Botnet Domain filtering blocks DNS and HTTP connections to known malware distribution and command-and-control infrastructure before traffic completes. Mobile Malware signatures extend coverage to Android and iOS payloads passing through network traffic — relevant for environments where mobile devices connect through the firewall. Virus Outbreak Protection is a rapid-response feed: when a new outbreak is identified, Fortinet pushes temporary signatures within minutes, ahead of full AV signature deployment. FortiGate Cloud Sandbox provides heuristic analysis of suspicious files that do not match known signatures, checking behavior before allowing file delivery.

Where It Sits in the Bundle Matrix

Advanced Malware Protection is included in all three FortiGuard bundles. If you are subscribed to ATP, UTP, or Enterprise, AMP is already active. This standalone license applies where services were purchased individually, or where AMP is the specific gap to fill.

Who Uses This

Branch offices and small businesses still running the FortiGate 60E-DSL where file-level threat protection is a compliance or insurance requirement. Managed service providers maintaining client 60E-DSL installations use this to keep AMP active through the device’s remaining support window (EOS May 2028, service renewals through May 2027). If a hardware refresh is coming, this 1-year renewal bridges protection until the new hardware is in place.

Activation and Delivery

This is a digital subscription license. After ordering from DataCenter360.ca, the registration token arrives by email within 0 to 1 business days. Register it on the Fortinet Support Portal against the 60E-DSL serial number to resume AMP signature updates. No hardware ships.

Buying from DataCenter360.ca

DataCenter360.ca is a Fortinet Select Partner and MSSP in Canada. We carry FortiGuard service licenses for legacy FortiGate models as well as the full current lineup. If your team is managing a mix of hardware generations, we handle licensing across all of them from a single account. Need a quote or a comparison against the ATP/UTP bundle? Get in touch.

Does the AMP subscription include FortiSandbox, or is that a separate product?

This subscription includes FortiGate Cloud Sandbox (cloud-based heuristic file analysis), which is different from a dedicated FortiSandbox appliance. Cloud Sandbox sends suspicious files to FortiGuard’s cloud environment for behavioral analysis and returns a verdict. A dedicated FortiSandbox appliance is a separate product for organizations needing on-premises sandboxing or higher file-analysis throughput.

What happens when the AMP subscription expires?

The antivirus engine continues operating on the last downloaded signature set. New malware variants discovered after expiry will not be covered. Botnet domain feeds, outbreak protection rapid-response updates, and cloud sandbox lookups all stop at expiry. For a firewall handling internet-facing traffic, allowing AMP to lapse creates a meaningful blind spot for new threats.

Is this license model-specific?

Yes. The “FG60E” in the SKU ties this license to the FortiGate 60E-DSL hardware model. Registering it against a different FortiGate model will fail on the Fortinet Support Portal. If you have a 60F or a different variant, you need the matching SKU for that hardware.

Is delivery restricted to Canada?

No. DataCenter360.ca delivers the registration key by email to any country within 0 to 1 business days. There are no shipping fees, no import restrictions, and no geographic limitations on where the license is activated.

Should I renew AMP alone, or upgrade to the UTP bundle?

If AMP is the only FortiGuard service you use on this device, the standalone license is the economical choice. If you also run URL filtering, IPS, or anti-spam, the UTP bundle (FC-10-FG60E-950-02-12) consolidates those into a single renewal at a better aggregate price. DataCenter360.ca can compare both options against your current subscriptions.
