Classified networks, regulated financial systems, and government facilities often operate under policies that require all retired media and equipment to be destroyed on-site. The FortiGate 80F 1-Year Secure RMA (FC-10-0080F-301-02-12) is the service built for that requirement: Fortinet ships an advance replacement to the customer, and the defective unit is disposed of within the customer’s premises rather than returned through a carrier.

What the 1-Year Secure RMA Covers

This is a Priority RMA add-on for active FortiCare Premium or Elite subscribers on the FortiGate 80F. When a confirmed hardware failure occurs during the 12-month term, Fortinet dispatches an advance replacement unit before receiving the failed device back. Under the Secure RMA option, the standard return requirement is waived: the defective FortiGate 80F is retained on-site and destroyed under a documented secure process. Because FortiGate appliances store configuration and encryption state on non-field-replaceable solid-state media, this eliminates the risk of sensitive data leaving the security boundary.

Priority RMA add-on options are available only on top of FortiCare Premium or Elite. Essential-tier customers are not eligible.
