What FortiCare Essential covers

The 80F-DSL is common at remote offices with DSL-only connectivity; Essential keeps those units patched and eligible for RMA without requiring a premium support tier for a secondary site that can absorb a next-business-day response time.

Activation and delivery

Delivery is electronic, typically within zero to one business days, to any country. You receive a contract registration number to enter against the FortiGate 80F-DSL serial number in the FortiCare portal. Coverage starts immediately on registration. Nothing ships physically.

Essential, Premium, or a full bundle

Three options for this device. Essential (this contract) covers support and firmware at the entry level.
