The 5-year term makes most sense for organizations that have standardized the 80F-POE across branch locations and want to lock in Elite coverage at a predictable per-year cost. This is an electronic license only. After order processing — typically within 0 to 1 business days — you receive the registration code by email and activate it at support.fortinet.com against the FortiGate 80F-POE serial number. No physical shipment, no minimum firmware requirement beyond the appliance being a supported model.
