What this service covers

OT Security extends the FortiGate 901G with an up-to-date OT device signature package that identifies industrial equipment and returns useful metadata about it. It adds vulnerability correlation and virtual patching, so known exploits against OT assets can be mitigated on the FortiGate without touching the device itself, and it delivers extra signatures for industrial applications and protocols through the Application Control and IPS engines.

Who needs it

This subscription fits manufacturing plants, utilities, energy, transportation, and any environment where a FortiGate 901G sits between IT and an operational network. If you have to demonstrate segmentation between business systems and control systems, or keep aging PLCs and HMIs protected while patch windows are rare, OT Security gives the FortiGate the context to enforce that boundary.

Activation and delivery
