AI-based Inline Malware Prevention uses FortiGuard’s machine-learning models to evaluate files as they pass through the FGR-60F, in line with traffic rather than after the fact. Objects that look malicious by behaviour and structure, including never-before-seen variants, are held or dropped at the gateway. For a rugged appliance guarding industrial assets, that pre-execution verdict matters more than it does on a well-patched office network.

This single line versus the bundles

AI-based Inline Malware Prevention is part of Fortinet’s Enterprise Protection bundle. It is not included in the ATP or UTP tiers.
