Critical-issue response is next business day. The DSL WAN interface and WiFi radio are covered as part of the complete unit under the same RMA terms.

Who needs this license

Small branch offices and home offices where the FortiWiFi 60E-DSL is past its initial bundle term and the site needs to stay current on firmware without the cost of a full security subscription renewal. Essential fits locations where web and DNS filtering are not required on this device, or where security inspection is applied at a perimeter device. It is also a reasonable holding position when a full UTP or Enterprise renewal is deferred to the next budget cycle.

Activation and delivery

The contract is delivered electronically, normally within one business day, to any country. Register the contract number against the FortiWiFi 60E-DSL serial in the FortiCare portal for immediate coverage. Nothing ships physically.

Essential, or a full bundle

FortiCare Essential (this contract) covers support and firmware for one year. The 3-year and 5-year Essential terms are not currently available for the FortiWiFi 60E-DSL. For active FortiGuard security services alongside support coverage, the UTP subscription (FC-10-FW60F-950-02-12) or Enterprise subscription (FC-10-FW60F-809-02-12) packages those services with FortiCare Premium in a single SKU. For a DSL-connected office actively filtering traffic, a bundle is typically the more complete option.
