• OT Vulnerability Correlation and Virtual Patching: Detected device types are cross-referenced against known CVEs. When a vulnerability applies, the FortiGate deploys a virtual patch through the IPS policy engine, shielding unpatched OT equipment from exploitation without waiting for vendor firmware updates. Over 1,000 virtual patch signatures are actively maintained.
• OT Application Control and IPS: More than 1,100 OT application signatures and 3,300 industrial protocol rules extend the FortiGate’s inspection engine to cover common OT and SCADA protocols. This enables deep traffic visibility and policy-based threat blocking across industrial environments.
