Activation and delivery

The subscription is issued electronically and registered to a specific FortiGate 50G by serial number. The one-year term runs from activation, and the device reports into the portal once registered. Nothing is shipped.

Management, not the security subscription

FortiGate Cloud is for running and watching the 50G, not for stopping attacks. The FortiGuard protection, IPS, antivirus, and web filtering, lives in the UTP or Enterprise bundle. The two are meant to work together, with management on one side and active defense on the other.
